Q: My employer is not signed up with Ethics Asia. Can I report?
A: Ethics Asia's reporting platform is available only to organisations that have engaged us as their independent ethics reporting provider.
Q. What should I do if I suspect, observe, or hear about potentially illegal, unethical, or improper conduct?
A: Although you may not know for sure if there has been misconduct or unethical behavior by someone in your organisation, you are encouraged to raise your concerns regarding any potential violations of law, standards or policies. You may use your organisation's channels of communication (such as informing your superiors), or Ethic Asia's platform which allows you to raise your concerns anonymously.
Q: What can be reported?
A: Any conduct or behaviour in your organisation that you feel is simply NOT RIGHT, and issues that may adversely affect the organisation. Here are some common examples:

Q. What should I do if I suspect, observe, or hear about potentially illegal, unethical, or improper conduct?
A: Although you may not know for sure if there has been misconduct or unethical behavior by someone in your organisation, you are encouraged to raise your concerns regarding any potential violations of law, standards or policies. You may use your organisation's channels of communication (such as informing your superiors), or Ethic Asia's platform which allows you to raise your concerns anonymously.
Q: What can be reported?
A: Any conduct or behaviour in your organisation that you feel is simply NOT RIGHT, and issues that may adversely affect the organisation. Here are some common examples:
- Fraud - Intentionally deprive your company of property or money by deception, manipulate financial information, or publish false information
- Bribery & corruption - Receive a financial benefit which influences their judgment or conduct, offer money or gifts to a potential customer/ client in exchange for business
- Conflict of interest - Undeclared interest (including family & friends) in another company, leak sensitive information about your company to outsiders
- Breach of Policy - Act against your company's rules and regulations, undertake their duties outside of existing policies, standards, statutes, procedures or instructions
- Theft & Dishonesty - Take another person's property without that person's consent, use another's identity to obtain goods and services, secretly sell goods and hides the money from the sale
- Unethical Activities - Use their position and power to mistreat or disrespect others, misuse company time, sexual harrasment, abusive behaviours, bullying, threats
How to report
Q. Do I have to give my name?
A: No. Your report can be totally anonymous and our Analysts will not ask for any personal details. However, you may volunteer to share your information confidentially to Ethics Asia only if you desire or you can be overt. If you do not wish to remain confidential from your company, this information may be provided to the the designated representatives of your company.
Q. What if my report is regarding the Ethic Officer(s)?
A: If the issue you would like to report involves the organisation's Ethics Officer(s), we will communicate your report to designated member(s) of your organisation's senior management appointed to deal with this scenario.
Q: What if I suspect something is wrong, but I am not sure and do not have details?
A: Most cases reported are uncovered through tips from honest people who may not be sure of all the facts. This is perfectly all right. We do not expect you to know every last detail. Reporting what you know, is enough.

A: We will prepare a Disclosure Report based on the information you provided, which will then be sent to your organisation's Ethics Officer(s). Please see question below for more information on the role of Ethics Officer(s).
Q. Who in my organisation will receive the disclosure report?
A: Your organisation's Ethics Officer(s). Upon your organisation engaging Ethics Asia as the ethics reporting provider, a person (or several persons) within your organisation will be appointed as designated Ethics Officer(s). The Ethics Officer(s) are responsible for receiving disclosure reports, and ensuring that all complaints are handled appropriately. The Ethics Officer(s) is responsible for the organisation’s role in managing disclosures and being the contact point for Ethics Asia and your organisation's senior management. If you are not sure who your organisation's Ethic Officer(s) is/are, please contact your organisation's department in charge of ethical issues (e.g. Ethics/Compliance/Corporate Governance/Human Resource).
Q: Will I be involved after I report an incident?
A: You are not required to be involved after you have reported the incident. However, if you have opted to reveal your identity and provided consent to be contacted, representatives from your organisation may call you for more information if required.
Q. Will there be an investigation after I report?
A: This will depend on a number of factors such as the information provided, details, documentations and your company's policies. Your organisation's Ethics Officer(s) will decide on the action required when they receive the report.
Q. Will I be informed and updated on the status after I report?
A: Ethics Asia do not receive status updates from your organisation after Disclosure Reports have been sent to your company's Ethics Officer(s). If you reveal your identity and provided consent to be contacted, representatives from your organisation may or may not provide you with a status of your complaint. The provision of updates is at your company's discretion, in consideration of your company's internal policies in handling investigations and ethics reports.
Q: What if I remember something important about an incident after I have filed a report?
A: You can contact us again via any of the 8 channels to provide new or additional information.
